We Need Your Furniss Biscuit Tins

Vintage adverts and food paraphernalia, especially old biscuit tins, have become highly sought after in recent years. Collectors from all over the world seek out unusual examples, attracted by the strong colours and stylised illustrations of bygone eras.

Though most tins can be picked up for a few quid (the one shown above was bought off ebay for a fiver) any collector will tell you, building up a comprehensive picture of one company’s discontinued products is a daunting task. But that’s exactly what we’re trying to do here at Furniss.

Clear Out Your Cupboards, Scour Your Loft

We want to collate an archive of all the wonderful illustrations and designs that have graced our famous biscuit tins over the years. Sadly, many examples have been lost from our own collection. However, we know that there are people out there who kept the tins for storage or simply because they were so beautiful.
