Gingerbread – the old-fashioned way
Large round Cornish gingerbreads in traditional old tubes. A great gift, particularly
for Mums, Dads and Grans, who seem to like using the tins for knitting needles, old
batteries and two pence pieces -- once they’ve scoffed the contents.
Our gingerbread is made to an original recipe from our founder, John Cooper Furniss,
dating back to 1886. Crunchy, spicy and very, very tasty, it’s a gingerholic’s dream.
Ingredients
Wheat Flour, Golden Syrup, Sugar, Fat Blend (vegetable fats, vegetable oils, water, lemon juice), Raising Agents (bicarbonate of soda, ammonium bicarbonate), Citrus Peel (1.3%) (glucose syrup, orange peel, sucrose syrup, lemon peel, citric acid, sulphur anhydride, sorbic acid), Butter, Dried Ginger (0.7%), Spices, Salt, Natural Lemon Flavouring.
